Something interesting happened last night. I met someone. Imagine my surprise when I found out he was the son of an airliner magnate.
He asked me out on a date, but I found it strange that his driver picked me up without him in the car. I was then pleasantly amazed to see him leaning against a Beechcraft Duke personal aircraft as we arrived at a runway.
“Don’t worry; the Beechcraft Duke has a pressurized cabin,” he reassured me. He also told me the plane had turbo-charged engines and improved elevators. He said he loved to fly planes; I said I was scared of them, even as I admired the sleek and classic exterior of the plane. He smiled, saying the Beechcraft Duke was known for its seamless flight performance.
I sat in the cockpit beside him as he tinkered with switches. He asked me to look at the four passenger seats behind us; I noticed that there was a bouquet of flowers, a picnic basket, and a bottle of wine. The plane’s retractable landing gear soon pulled in and we rose to the air. I had to hide a blissful smile… You see, my heart was flying, and so were we.
